I have a question about caps that also hold the clip in place. Do you just tighten it down or use a little ca on the threads so that it can't loosen as the clip is used. just playing around with a few euro style pens I have had the clip slip and loosen the cap. Just wondering how others deal with this.

So far, I've never bothered affixing the threaded finials. If they ever come loose, I just screw them back down. Should the need arise, I'd put a dab of blue locktite (or other brand of threadlocker) on the threads. That would be plenty to hold it in place and the finial could still be disassembled. Loctite also avoids any problems with CA fumes damaging the plating.

Regards,
Eric
