Well I turned my first pen this weekend and after I assembled it I noticed a problem. The nib to my cigar pen has a noticeable lip only on one side like the nib assembly wasn't concentric. I know that my lathe and mandrel aren't the problem as I inspected the top and bottom after turning and looked at the concentricity of the wood and tube. I didn't look at the nib assembly though. I removed the burrs from my tubes before pressing in the parts. Only after pressing it together did I notice this. Any pointers, possible problems???
