Hello! I believe that cigar pens use a doo-dad in the finial end of the pen to make the transmission work properly. Is this true of all parker-style transmissions, or is there one that is more similar to a slimline or 7mm euro cross-style transmission?
I'd like to play around with "kit-bashing" (I don't relish the idea of making my own nib, clip, or finial yet) and don't necesarily want to be restricted to an exact length on the barrels, or require a particular finial, etc. I'd like to try a parker style pen, but I can always just get cheap chrome slimline kits (and chuck the center band) to experiment with if that's what will work best .
