I bought a CSUSA Panache a few years ago, and finally got around to making it. After assembly, I discovered that the cap threads were very tight, and really want to cross-thread when screwing the cap on. I was able to get the action smoother by polishing (a little polish on the threads, screw back and forth a bunch of times), but it still likes to cross-thread when capping.

This is the "black chrome" finish model.

Is this typical for a Panache, or would I be likely to see improvement if I replaced those components?

I had the same exact thing happen,so I'm hoping there will be some feedback here.It was a black one, too. It was my first one.

I made a couple more & had no issues on those.I chalked it up to maybe an error in how I pressed it together.I was more careful on the others.
