paint lifting off tube

Well I thought I would post this failed attempt at a Bird pen the paint will not stay on I have read several post but to several attempts to get this right and still fail. The paint that I have tried Testors model paint, and Acrylic Paint from Michaels craft. The tubes you see here are pre painted from Woodcraft and the paint just dissolved I think it was the heat from the curing possess that lifted the paint.

Are you using ca? And if so is it thin, med. or thick? Have you tried 5 minute epoxy? As far as I know there isn't enough heat during epoxy curing to do that..Good luck on the next effort..George
