Paint in Epoxy

Is it possible to mix paint in with your epoxy, if you use epoxy, when gluing in your pen tubes?

If so, will it mix in okay, or should I avoid this all together?

I do it all the time for my reverse painted blanks.

I just started using paint in my 5 min epoxy The first batch hardened really good but the second hardened but was like a really stiff tar . Might have put too much paint in the second batch. I set them off to the side. That was a couple days ago. Will check again when I go back out.

Any specific type of paint - will Testors paint work okay?

I have been purchasing the small tubes of water based paint from the local art store and adding just a touch to the 5 min epoxy. Most of the time i have no problems with it. Yes if you do get to much paint in the epoxy then, i have noticed it does not set up correctly.

I just started doing this myself. Had too many foul ups with just painting the tubes and inside the blank. Too much gets scraped off. I put a couple drops of either testers paint or your basic acrylic that you can buy cheap from anywhere.

Yes Testor pain will work. I've used it several times with no problem,
