oversized bushings

Anyone know of any bushing standard bushing sets that would fit in the upper tubes of a gent and jr gent but that are bigger (make a fatter pen) than the normal gent and jr. gent?

Put tape (masking, electrical) over your normal bushings.

You could also do what I've inadvertently done in the past - build up many layers of CA finish on them.

Buy some digital calipers to guide you to the final size you want.

You can get a decent digital caliper from HF for about 20 bucks and then you could make your blanks any size you desire regardless of what bushings you use.

Or if you prefer, I'm sure you could get johnnycnc to make you a set.

That is correct , larger bushings would make the blanks bigger and that would mean that your hardware would no longer fit correctly .

All you have to do is chamfer the ends of the blank so it tapers down to match the hardware. Easy trick to accomplish. Instructions for the Berea "TROPICAL" kits call for exactly this technique as a possible need.
