A designer pen.
And a bullet pen.
I finished these recently but just couldn't get the pics taken.

Thanks for the heads up. Really like the spiral pen and the comfort pen. Don't know why comfort pens don't sell better.

Very nice work and I also am a fan of the Comfort Design. If you have any Bocote left try turning it against the grain. You will get a really wild outcome from the right piece of wood. I have two in my photo album done in Bocote. Make sure and look at page 2.

As to how I made the spiral.
I turned a piece of Holly down (on the tube) to about 9mm. Then I drilled the Purpleheart, sanded the Holly to fit the inside of the Purpleheart glued it in place with some polyurethane glue.
Then proceeded turning the outside. Once I got it to the size I wanted it, I marked it with a utility knife (on the lathe) and then used a three point file to file the grooves in it.
