Oops! band. where to put it.

I blew out the end of a very nice DI burl blank for the top end of a Baron today, and decided that the pen would probably look nicer with a nice antler "accent band". My question would be, should I put it at the top, or in the middle of the pen?.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

This is just rounded up and rough sanded. I'll finish shaping and polishing after I figure out which end is up (if I ever do)

Put one at each end, looks like you planned it that way.

OR.....you could "sandwich" the DI between two narrow antler bands; then it would look as though you planned it that way!

I totally agree with Cav [:0] Wow did I really say that? Really, put bands on each end, will look better.

I think we have now covered EVERY possibility, except putting it at an angle in the middle, making an accent diagonal stripe. (Good luck with THAT plan, after the tube is already glued in).[!][!][!]

All 3 look alright but the center band seems a bit undersize from here. If that is the case I would use the third option.
