One pass with Colt?

Do you guys drill in one pass like the Colt ad says? Seems like it will blow out the blanks. Any recommendations on using these? Are there any other brands similar in design.

I drill to fit and cut the blank. No more blowouts

I have their 7mm bit and yes you can drill right through acrylic and no blow outs. YMMV

I use them all the time and I would not say never but out of +/- 3000 blanks a month only a few would blow .

Pull the handle till it comes out on the other side. Remember it is all stabilized woods.

I leave it a little long when drilling, but I also put a 1/4" piece of scrap plywood under the blank to drill through and support the bottom of the blank. Never had a problem. Even with acrylics.
