There's no way to tell from the photos. This truly is one of "send it to me" moments. :biggrin:

You need to put it in the hands of someone with a lot of experience determining wood types.
Do you or Jonathon have a photo of the wood's endgrain and face grain pre-treatment?

Not seeing the 'rays' that Oak has....
It's nice, has some interesting 'features'....

Jonathon, you said you have a box of this wood that still needs stabilizing? Or a box of mixed stuff that needs to be done?

Yeah I thought about that, but it's all mixed stuff. Some is definitely oak, some is maple, hackberry, pecan, hickory, etc.
