Back during the 1960's Lockheed Corp. had a nuclear reactor in Dawsonville, Georgia. An experimental project resulted in a project called
LOCKWOOD whereby thin layers of wood were compressed, resin injected, and cured/hardened by the nuclear reactor. Does anyone in the group have any knowledge or remember this? At one time I did have a small sample of it, but somewhere along the way it got away.

Brian,

Yes, the sample I had was very much like Dymondwood. It was all the same maple color. I did find out that maybe one of the Government agencys in Maryland had their flooring made of Lockwood. Will post other findings as they pop up.
