I've called Nova in NZ and asked their representative if there are any differences between their Live Center made in NZ vs. one made in China.
He told me that new model a is better quality product or at least as good as original model. Nova owns a factory in China and can control all aspects of manufacturing process. Chinese factory has better facilities and more specialized equipment than NZ factory where Nova made their Live Centers before. Quality Control in their Chinese factory is also more rigorous than it was in NZ.

Does anyone here had a chance to use both of their models(NZ vs China made) and can give us an unbiased opinion?

Thanks,
Alex

If you don't have a Nova lathe would pass on their live center. Read somewhere morse taper is little smaller than others on the market. Might have those spec's on at their web site.

Doubt you'll find a live center not made in China today, unless says made in USA or Canada.
