North Texas Penturners

Craft Supplies USA, aka http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com , will be a vendor at the Woodworking Show at the Irving Convention Center; 500 Las Colinas Boulevard W; Irving, TX. The date is Oct 21-23. They will have several mini lathes set up for penturning. CSUSA furnishes all of the supplies. I will be a mentor for the penturning area on Saturday. I've done this in the past and it is lots of fun helping others make pens...often their first. CSUSA has asked me to see if any of our N. Texas penturners would be interested in helping by being a penturning mentor at the show in their vendor area. PM or call me if you are interested volunteering and I can give more information.

Woodturning show website: I could not get it to work either. I was hoping they would get it back running soon.

Pen Mentoring: We will be making slimlines. Blanks are ready...tubes glued in place. Most who will be making pens will not have made one before so any experience level is good. No pressure...Kirk DeHeer from CSUSA asked me to pass on the request for help.

The show is Fri-Sun, Oct 21-23. Any help will be appreciated. I look forward to seeing you again. There is a fee to enter but just tell them you are working at the CSUSA booth.
