A while back PSI had a deal on the Majestic Jr. kits with the starter pack so I bought a few kits and a starter pack. I started on one of the Majestic Jr. kits today with a really nice piece of Amboyna. As I was getting ready to drill the blank for the pen tubes, I noticed the 12.5 mm drill bit that came with the starter pack appeared to have a very slight wobble to it. I pulled it out and re-chucked it but it still looked odd when spinning. Not wanting to take a chance, I drilled a piece of scrap first and sure enough there was enough wobble to create an over sized hole. If I had drilled the blank with the PSI 12.5 mm drill bit, I would have waisted a nice piece of Amboyna. Fortunately I had a "Y" drill bit that matched up perfectly and I was back in business.

Your Y bit must be over sized to be able to use it in place of 12.5mm.:wink:

Must have been WAY over size letter Y is .4040 and 12.5mm is .4921, a 31/64 would have been your closest at .4844

The Harbor Freight bits I bought are definitely over sized. I never use those things without measuring them first.
