Need Suggestions on tube painting color

I purchased a tortoise Lucite blank from exoticblanks.com that is very translucent. What color should I paint the tubes and inside of the blank to get the best look from it. I ask this question because I am colorblind and I don't want to mess it up. I think black maybe best, but could make in too dark. I thought a few of you may have turned some of these and could possibly send pictures of different colors you may have used.
