need an improvised seelant

we cut down some trees in the back yard and I dont have anything to seal it with. Is there anything I may have around the house that could seel the end grain or at least seal it enough to allow me to get some anchor seal or something?

a nice thick coat of exterior latex paint will work to reduce checking. Maybe not as well as anchorseal, but better than nothing.

that's what i was leaning towards and i got a little bit of that in the garage

styrofoam melted in a little acetone will work.

If the wood is small enough, melted wax will work.
