Need Help for a pen idea

I have a customer that is a Metallurgist. She wants a special pen made.

What type would of pen would be appropriate? I cannot find any symbol. I can't find a Laser Cut Inlay pen appropriate at Kallenshaan Woods. I need some of your ideas, Please?

Look up MARKSMAN here on the iap site his kits are nice and use the 3m metal blank.

What do they want to spend? I would look at true damascus steel if they want to spend enough.

M3 'metal' blank would be a good choice.

How about a metal pen, brass, aluminum and copper are easy to turn.
Brass celtic know on an aluminum blank
Inlays of aluminum, brass or copper, (or all three) on wood
Metal flakes suspended in resin
Segmented blank using multiple metals
Wrap copper wire around a tube then cast in resin, other types of wire would probably look good as well; silver, black, picture hanging cable, etc. Mix them all together.
How about decals? Creating a repeating patters of symbols from the periodic table for multiple types of metals. Formulas for metal compounds?

Ditto. I would think a metallurgist would really appreciate the material. Can you turn metal?
