Need Help Identifying kit and finding transmission

someone i know asked me if i could replace the transmission on a pen they have i said i would take a look at it.
Te pen looks just like a cigar but the cigar transmission is too long and the threads are too big anyone have any suggestions

Form what I can see from the photograph, this is a "modified" cigar pen. Look at the extra "do da" between the nib and the lower barrel.

I think you found yourself a "Frankenstein". Good Luck!

MIght be an 8mm tranny. From a pkmont kit they are shorter and smaller in diameter at the base.

CIgar tranny... base diameter .314 length.....1.530
8mm tranny....base diameter .286 length.....1.40

I have one of the kits I mentioned above infront of me now, it is indeed identical to the kit from the OP.

The transmission is 8mm dia (±0.315") x 38.75mm long (±1.530")

Yep its an 8mm tranny, my cigar tranny has the fluted end as well and the 8mm is smooth.

they are not available seperatly that I know of. You may have to buy a kit and rob it of its parts. Not all 8mm kits use that tranny. the one from woodcraft has a different top. I would recomend you get the pkmont2par premiun kit for the part. SOmeone else with more experience with kits may be able to help you out or have an extra they will send you.

PKMONT2PAR Prelmium Designer is the kit from PSI. YOu may find a reseller that carries that kit also.
