Luke use the library, the search function, read some of the other threads that are also talking about tap and dies.

I have never threaded wood before. You can get tap and dies at your local hardware store. I would imagine that a wood that is fine grained and stabalized would work best.

You may want to pick up a few different sizes of taps and dies and practice on different materials.
