I need to dissasemble a pen... its one a guy got while he was in Hawaii, but its a standard slimline from the looks of it. I don't have a dissasembly tool, should I get one, or can I rig something up?

PSI sells pen disassembly tools for 7mm tubes and 10mm tubes for $13 and $10 respectively. The HF transfer punch set runs $9.99, IIRC, and sometimes you can get it for less on a sale. The transfer punches should handle all pen kits so your choice of purchase is really a no-brainer. I bought a set of the punches a year or so ago and they just sat in the shop until last weekend. Used them for the first time and they worked perfectly on an 8mm tube.

Alternatively, if you're in a rush, turn down a small diameter insert from a hardwood - that will work. However, as the guys said, the transfer punches are your best long-term solution.
