need bling advise

I am a relative newbie and someone saw a pen I made recently (gold top european with purple acrylic), liked it and asked the person I gave it to if I could make one all gold. I'm thinking he means barrels and all. Any suggestions how to get a lot of bling in gold?

THere are some gold foil blanks available from different vendors that might work. If they are wanting Solid gold just mention thousands of dollars not hundreds. Ti gold plating would hold up better than plated gold hardware.

I would suggest talking directly to the customer first. You may find what he wants and what you think he wants are two very different things. You may be doing a lot of research for the wrong thing.
