Hey everyone,


I have a piece of wood that I am going to use for a pen. Unfortunately, I do not know what wood it is exactly. Can you help me out? Here a some pics. I'm almost certain it is not cocobolo or bocote, but...:biggrin:


And no, the end grain is not blue like in the pic!:biggrin: It is a brownish-black.

Might help to see one of either the top or bottom sides in relation to the one side you showed. My guess would be Wenge, but seeing one of the other sides (not the opposite) would clear that up at least...

(edit, that would have been my other guess JB..)
