What IS this stuff?
Bought some blanks from specialty cabinet maker, didn't notice that this one was unlabeled. I tried looking it up, and think it might be claro walnut. Any thoughts? Center band is bubinga. (Side issue - still not satisfied with the CA/BLO finish).

One possible thought.
I ha also turned Crotch Walnut from palets that reminded me of Claro burl.

I would also voate for Walnut and would be inclined to say claro.

As for the finish, did you take it to the buffing wheel with white diamond. It makes a huge difference in the shine.

Thnks for the opininions, folks. Chris, I did buff with white diamond, but the finish was too rough to really help - did shine the high spots, though. I plan to take this one apart and refinish. Fanger's method looks good, too. Worth a shot.
Since I googled the claro, I am more inclined to go with that. Ziricote is a little harder, like bocote, this worked more like walnut.
