Met another turner from the east side of Michigan. He gifted me some goodies. A chunk from the Soo Locks (not sure on type of wood), Maple from the University of Michigan Hospital when they took out some wood railings, wood from a 100 year old barn, and some spalted maple. Should be a few nice pens out of some of it.

Hey Glenn, He's in a woodturner's club but not on the IAP. I'm not sure what club he's in though.

Nice to see some good old Michigan generosity. I don't know any wood turners in my area but there are plenty of generous wood workers. Much of my turning stock was free stuff that they couldn't use!
