Hi, first post. I've only been turing for a little while and have so far only made about 20 pens. I recently had a go at a laminated timber one and as I drilled the top, the speed was too fast and it split on one of the glue lines. Some CA and clamping and then fretting during the turning and I think I got away with it. Absolutely loving pen turning as I hadn't used a lathe since high school back in 1980, and I find that I just lose myself in the art of creation.

Hi Brett,

It had to happen someone else from here in Canberra. Like the way your travelling with your penmaking. Also have not seen that material in a block for a while, the glue used makes drilling fierce every time so you recovered well.

Neat pen to be proud of.

Kind regards from Page.

Peter.
