Default My first custom finial

I had a go at turning a custom finial today. It actually was not as hard as I imagined it would be.

It is a jr gent with a cosmic stardust amalgam-mutt blank from Beartooth Woods. My photography, regrettably diminished the beauty of the blank.

Well done. And yes, after you have done one, tweaked your process, they will be a favorite for you.

Very nice.

Certain pen kits this works well and that is one of those kits. A good set of calipers is basically the main tool. After that it is a matter of turning it down to size with tool of your choice. Before parting off polish to a finished state. Good job.
