I am wanting to modify a cigar by removing the black band above the nib and lengthening the lower barrel. Can anyone tell me the best way to get that band off? I thought it was just threaded on but cannot get it to turn loose.

On every cigar style kit I've used, the black trim ring screws onto the nosecone. Some have threads that need encouragement. If you're not worried about damaging the trim ring, you could try pliers.

I hope that helps,
Eric

Last one I tried it just unscrews

I was thinking of doing the same thing myself Then I'd want the black center and off too though which would be more troublesome

I once made a Gold Ti/Platinum cigar by replacing all the black parts in a Gold Ti with the platinum parts from a hybrid Black Ti/Platinum kit.
