Hi All,
Need a little help here. Wife and I went to a lumber yard the other day. Besides all the regular stuff you would expect to find they also had a nice selection of exotic wood. Long story short; I ended up with a nice piece of cocobola 4'x8"x3/4". Question is this, what kinda saw and what kinda blade do I use to mill it with? There are a lotta nice blanks in there.
Thanks
Randy

If you have a bandsaw, that would be the tool of choice.
When I glue up laminations, I use the thinnest circular saw blade I can find for the table saw.
Some of the blades for battery operated circular saws come in 7&1/4 or 8" diameter.
There is very little wates using these blades but more than a bandsaw.
You don't need a smooth cut for cuttng blanks.
If you are cutting on the bias or cross cut it is an easy task using a sled on an tablesaw.
