Method of sealing brass tubes

When I cast resin pens, I generally use clay or wax but sometimes i get leaks that create bubbles in the resin. What methods have you folks used that is effective for blocking resin out of the pen tubes?

I've never done any casting but how about modeling clay? Just completely fill the tube?

BB sells beeswax in thin sheets that is made for this.

That does look like what I am looking for! Have you tried this wax with pressure casting? I am wondering if the pressure would cause it to move since the air behind it might be compressed under 50-60 psi?[?]

Hi 2 all! and Happy New Turnings!

U could try the potato trick like in : Turning Pens And Pencils (by Kip Christensen, Rex Burningham).
Basically cut fresh potato into 1/4" thick sheets, press the end of the tube until it cuts the potato. Makes a great non sticky, easy 2 clean cap 4 tubes.
