Metal powder glue question

I have some metal powders I plan to use for inlay.

What type of glue do you recommend?

1. Fill cavity with dry powder and top with CA.

2. Mix with epoxy and then fill cavity.

3. Mix with clear craft glue and then fill cavity.

4 Other?

I will generally use #1, though I have also done #2

I have always used step one but been prepared to add more powder as when the glue is added it often sinks in a little and depending on how close I am to the finished point of the pen I may want to have the hole a little thicker.

99% of the time it's #1, 1% of the time it's #2.

I'm with Linda on this one. Use thin CA, but be prepared for multiple passes to fill in holes or pits that develop.
