Hey All,

Is Manzanita Burl any good for turning?

Once it is dry is it stable enough to make pens.

Any info or characteristics or turning properties would be great.

Thanks,
Steve

I like it. Very hard, polishes to a shine easily but may have rock inclusions and most have cracks which can be turned into "design opportunity" ;)

Steve, ignore the two rookies who have responded. I'll pay postage and be happy to run a few tests on your burl for you at no charge. No thanks necessary, I'm just that kind of a guy. :D[}:)];)

Dang, Dario, now you make me feel ashamed of myself. [B)]

There, I am over my shame. :D Let me look into something to trade, hopefully nothing that will irritate your allergies, and I'll get back to you, thanks. Holy cow, I just checked the time here in PA, and I have to work tomorrow. Good night all.
