Hi Bob,
I have a PSI maxi mandrel, and can tell you
it is set up for a "7mm" mandrel. You reference
to mandrel shaft A or B which SOUNDS like Berea
equipment.
Other places resell Berea such as Arizona Silhouette.
The Berea A mandrel is for "7mm",it's the one to replace
yours;its not an exact replacement, but will work.
And the B mandrel is for "8mm". I bought 1 replacement
shaft for my maxi mandrel from PSI at 7-8 bucks.
Then I found that Woodcraft has a kinda-similar setup that
they sell .
I tried the setup, did not care for it went back to
the maxi mandrel. But the replacement shaft goes in
the maxi mandrel and works.
Go to woodcrafts website and plug #141502 in search box.
Replacement shaft only 2.99.
I put " " around the 7mm (.2755) because its really just a
reference to the pen kit tube outside diameter.
The mandrels are actually .245-ish to fit the inside
diameter of the tubes.
Hope I didnt over-answer you![:p]

According to published figures, the Berea "A" mandrel is 0.247"+0-0.002. Several years ago PSI used to spec their mandrels at 0.243"; but I haven't seen figures in any of the current catalogs. CSUSA says theirs are 0.246".

The Berea "B" mandrel is 0.291".
