I did a search on this topic, and I found a reference or two to how to making decals for custom clips. But I haven't seen anything on how to encapsulate it in a "dome." Has anyone done this? What is the material you use, and what do you cast it in?

Thanks,

Gary

Ed Davidson (yo-yo spin) used to make and sell "do-hickeys" and I belive that he used polyresin to "encapsulate" an assortment of items and used them to dress up the finial end of the pen.

I was thinking...

Of taking a piece of PTFE or teflon, milling some pockets with a round edged end mill, then just casting the poly or epoxy in that.

Any ideas?

They have doming resin at the hobby store. I don't know if or how it works, but that's the claim.
