Does anyone know the threading size for the internal threads for the center band? On trying to assemble a rollerball, I found out that the nib coupler (and the finial coupler) would not screw all the way in to the center band. See picture.

I do not want to try to knock out the center band as this is a Chittum Burl blank, and I don't want to risk damaging it.

The companion fountain pen I turned yesterday fits perfectly, however, when I tried to screw the FP nib into this center band, it also came up short.

Any help gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Problem solved. I just gently pressed the cap and coupler as is until the coupler shoulder disappeared inside the center band. Thanks for looking.
