I need to change the crystal in the clip for a Majestic. Has anyone done this and what is the "safest" way to get the clear crystal out?
I want to change the crystal that comes with the kit and put one of another color in to match the blank.
I hate to pry too much on it for fear of scratching the plating.
Thanks to whoever has the solution.

I just take a small knife & pry at the edge of the crystal. It just pops right out. I've only done 2, but both came out easily. It has a slight crunching sound. I'm guessing it's the glue holding the crystal.

Thanks Bob,
I'll give it another try. They really glued this one in without leaving much room to get a knife blade in. Just don't want to scratch the metal...
Appreciate the response.

I thought I saw a link once where someone applied a small amount of heat to ease the removal, but I don't recall the details. Maybe use a hair-dryer to warm it up, then try prying on it gently...?

Majestic crystal - Case Closed

Thanks Bob and Dave. That heat gun I bought at HF, and forgot about, did the trick! Low heat for a couple of seconds was all it took. Popped right out with the knife point. (now I have to find it!):mad-tongue:
CASE CLOSED.
Appreciate
