I was in my local Rockler this morning to pick up a couple of drill bits.

I noticed that they had some of these kits and the bushing, so I decided to buy one of the kits.

When I checked out the price of the pen kit came up at $27.00 and change and the price on the bin where they kept the kit was $54.00 and change.

So being ever thrifty when the opportunity arise, I went back and purchased the other two kits that they had in stock.

So I wound up getting three kits for less than the price of two.

Now to find the right material to use for the blanks, unfortunately the kit requires 7/8 inch blanks

I've used 3/4 blanks for the Majestic kits. Take your time and be careful, both drilling and turning. They make beautiful pens.

Nice! That's one of my favorite kits, but obviously super pricy. Good deal. I am partial to that one in stabilized box elder burl (yellow).
