M3 Blank Disaster

I was drilling an M3 blank and didn't stop to let it cool down and the blank blew apart in several pieces. :frown: I was able to collect all of the large pieces and glue it back together.

The one half looked terrible after gluing it. I am going to take the other half and make a Elegant Major twist pen out of it. That will be a nice way to salvage this blank.

That's always a bummer, at least you salvaged half!

I thought they replaced the blank if it blew up. You may want to contact the company.

I bought this blank at RandB Crafts. I just ordered a replacement and included a note about what happened. Richard sent me an email and offered to send a free replacement.
