Anyone ever heard of dipping green wood in a diulted solution of Lysol then sealing with anchorseal? Will the diluted Lysol cause any damage to the wood or problems with turning it or finishing it? I'm not thinking of doing this, but am looking at some green wood that has been treated in this manner.

I've never heard of that and I'm not totally sure why someone would do that, I've never had to disinfect wood.

I'd suspect you are fine, but if you are in doubt and have to buy this wood, I wouldn't spend a massive amount of money on it simply because it seems to be a slight unknown.

Lysol contains a fungicide, which might prevent spalting. Unless it was soaked for a long time, I can't imagine it penetrating for enough to cause any problems in a turned bowl. I dont think I'd worry about it myself.
