I had the cap and clip for a slimline pen come loose twice for a customer. Ive never heard of anyone putting ca in the tube and then putting the cap on so im not sure about it. Any thoughts? I was thinking 1 drop of medium gap filling in the top of the tube and the sliding the cap in. I was thinking of doing this from now on to prevent this from happening again. Anyone else had this problem?

Loctite makes a small screw thread locker. It's a pink color and the number is 222. It locks good but you can get it apart if you want to. Brian

I lock parts in with epoxy. Just a teeny dot or two with a toothpick will do the trick. If you use a drop of CA, it will most likely find its way into the transmission.

I do use CA when I have that kind of problem. I use a q-tip to wipe just a very small amount onto the inside of the tube, then allow it to fully cure (usually overnight) before pressing the part in.

I don't claim that it's a better solution than loctite - it's just what I do & it works for me.
