I finally figured out the best way to fix the transmission to fit tighter and not slip in the top barrel when you twist to use the pen. Take the refill out and twist the transmission to lower the mechanism and take the top of a 1/4" drill and hold it at a 45 degree angle and press with a little pressure into the top of the transmission and twist it around. This will flair out the top of the transmission and make a tighter fit. Careful not to flair it to much or the transmission will not fit in the top barrel.
