I have just read through the sample article of more woodturning ( agreat magazine, which I will probably have to sign up for) and saw the article about using markers.

Well, for those around here using them, what are your long term results for how well the color stays? I'm tempted to test one by finishing a blank and setting it in the window for a while.

I just pulled my first one out that I did a couple of months ago. Not much of a long term test but the thing is as purple now as it was then. It sits above my computer in a little shelf. It gets some indirect light so I don't know if direct light would have an effect on it. You can see it in my photo album. It's a purple curly maple.
