My pen turning had to be put off for a while and now I want to get back to it. Went out to the shop to glue up a couple blanks for slims to "practice" on but I have no slim kits. who has the best price to pick up 10-15 kits?

Probably woodturningz.com if you want PSI slimlines. Woodturningz is located in Westfield, In. And they have great customer service and fast shipping!

Yes indeed, stay away from the cheapest product lines. You will not be happy with the fit, finish, or number of bad transmissions you find.

I like Woodturningz and also jimh757 on ebay. Jim has fast service and at 10 pens for 20.95 w/ free shipping it is a good price.

eBay My World - jimh757

Good luck, Mike

Not taking anything away from others but I've gotten a bunch from jim757 and have been totally satisfied with quality and service. The only problem I've had was with one I gave my superviser at work. His wife put it in the wash ....I gave him a new refill and turned a center band to match the swollen wood ... he was a happy man.
