OK this is what I am doing with these pens when I need to take them apart. Seems to work for me.

I take an extra nib and cut it down from the narrowest point to where the threads are

I then insert into the narrow end an 8mm set screw socket. You could use a 8mm bolt as well.

Take the nib off the pen you want to disassemble

Screw on the cut cap with the 8mm set screw socket

Insert the appropriate socket wrench and turn counter clockwise.
(The 8mm set screw socket is screwed in the opposite direction of the pressure fitting you want to remove.) So it turns right out.

Just use some pliers to unscrew the pressure fitting.

Again you can use a screw with pliers to the same effect. I think a hex wrench with the 8mm set socket screw welded on would be a great tool.

neat, but how to you disassemble the other end without:

1) marring the finish

and

2) removing layers of skin from your hands?

Since the pressure fitting is out you can now use a larger transfer punch. You can just insert it in and tap out with a hammer. I like to wrap a piece of micromesh around the pen and under the clip. Gives you a better grip and protects the finish when the clip slabs up
