A one piece cigar

Several days ago I made a long one-piece cigar pen. Thee 4 3/8" stock was drill out with a 10mm and on one end a seirra drill 27/64? was drilled.

I am have a hard time putting together the pen as the clip end of the pen slides /doesnot fix the 27/64 tube.

Did I miss something about the assembly of the pen. ?

thanks

The large tube end is the nib end, not the clip end. That is, the Sierra tube is at the nib end of the pen.

Tom:
While you are right that the tubes are the same size, Bill is making a one piece cigar pen. For these, you use both cigar tubes plus a Sierra tube. For the Sierra tube, you drill at 27/64 from the nib end of the blank.
