After suffering with two aging LEDs that blinked enough to drive me crazy, I saw these at Home Depot and pulled the trigger. I added two 100 watt equivalent LED lights and I have amazing light now. The total draw is 25 watts. I added the plastic bags to keep them clean (sort of) when using micro mesh. They ran $25 each.

Add them to any tool in the shop. Makes for safer working conditions. I was working on a project today and had my router and stand set up under the air cleaner and there is no light or at least nothing direct and I could have used that. Had to use a flashlight to see my finnicky setting on the router. Did not want to move the table because I was routing ebony and that dust is murder. Did everything I could to control it with the dust vac and air cleaner. Using a shop vac helped but it is murder but I love that stuff for accent pieces. :) I am sure you will enjoy the change.

As soon as I saw your first photo, something clicked in my brain...it just looked sooo familiar. Then, as I made it down to the 3rd photo, showing the base, the "LIGHT" came on! My gaze traveled a few inches to the left of my monitor. Wah-La!! It is the same desk lamp as the one that has been sitting here on my desk for the last year or so. Nice little lamp, no matter what it is to be used for. :)

Clean shop

Nice purchase, is your shop always that clean??

After drilling the 15/32 holes for the two lights I vacuumed up the lathe and the surrounding area. Until I make a proper outfeed table, the saw remains here are the lathe comes to it for power. A wider view of the shop would show stuff everywhere, but a sincere effort has been made to keep the shop clean and clutter free.

It sounds like YOU have a problem YOU should address, not me and certainly not my wife. Grow up and fire up YOUR vacuum.

Lol ... woodworking in the entryway foyer ... I can easily identify with that. My front door opens into my living room, where I do 95% of my woodworking. My bandsaw is in the kitchen, cuz there's no room. :)

I try to keep it clean, but work has to be done.

I do clean constantly and try to organize everything better, but it is not clean or orderly yet.

The workshop is a beautiful setup.
I admit, in the earlier picture, it appeared you're working in a living room.
And, I'm sure George was just trying to add some levity.
We often kid about clean shops.

I can only dream of having that much room Mark.
Seen the earlier posting of your shop. We all should be so lucky.

Looks like you have made some headway. Enjoy what you have and the rest of us will all be wishing.

Very nice Shop. I wish I had that cement floor in mine. We just got moved into our new house over the weekend and my shop building has a screenings floor in it. Wish I would have had the money to put a concrete floor in it when they were building it, but alas no such luck.
