Are there any turners willing to give me lessons on using a skew and finishing. The problem is you would have to have a shop where a wheel chair can get to. I'm not out to tie you up all day, because LOML, would have to tag along so it would have to be a Saturday or Sunday. If everyone is busy I really understand that.

Scott,

I would be happy to give you all the hands on help you need or want. I enjoy teaching and am in San Marcos as you know. My shop is certainly accessible but the door to my shop bathroom is only 2' wide so that may present a challenge if you need the facilities. You could always to inside my house, though.

Let me know if you want to pursue this.

Since Texas is rather big, I'm not sure if you will find someone reasonably local who can help. You may wish to check on an AAW (American Association of Woodturners) chapter in your area

http://www.woodturner.org/community/chapters/LocalChapters.asp

There are 25 chapters in Texas, many of which will have monthly meetings. If one of them is reasonably local, you can probably find some local turner to help you out.
