Lee valley half twist pencil HELP!

I recently purchased a lee valley half twist pencil kit. Half-Twist Ballpoint Pen & Pencil Hardware - Lee Valley Tools

There are no available instructions on the assembly. Anybody have experience with this kit? It's for a patient customer and I don't want to mess it up and keep him waiting longer than I have to.

Lee Valley sells only Berea kits, and as Jim pointed out, the instructions are here:

I have made the pen version of this kit. . It is a little trickier than some kits but if you follow the directions carefully you should be OK.

The pencil is no different from the pen. . You just swap out the "Parker" refill for the black pencil cartridge.

If it is the perfect fit (and that sounds perfectly reasonable), make sure you get the length of the top half of the pen correct, with the remainder turned down to the brass, so the centerband can go on. Otherwise it does not work properly!
