My first post with a photo! A Berea Woodworker pencil with leather washers. Bear Tooth Woods - Woodworker's Gold Pencil Kit
Glued washers on to the tube with wood glue. Used a grip clamp to compress them together overnight. Turned them down close to size and applied 2 coats of thin CA on outside and especially the ends. End sanded them on lathe with disc and punch. Put back on centers and sanded them to finish size with 120 grit. Then applied a coat of carnauba wax to finish . The pencil feels old and used, yet new. :biggrin:
