Laminated acrylic blank

This is a pen I made from a new line of blanks from Craft Supplies. Only problem I had is that the top blank came apart (broke on one of the glue joints) when I was drilling the blank for the tube when I went to retract the drill bit (I do my drilling on the lathe). Some CA glue, a clamp, and some very light cuts when turning, and it came out OK.

Nice pen. I find that with glued up blanks like this you have to really drill slowly. I usually remove the drill and only take a little at a time. Doing it this way you don't allow the heat to build up and melt the glue.
